Shattershield Lamps
Shatterproof Teflon plastic coated lightbulbs and fluorescent lamps are used as protective coatings on Lightbulbs, Mercury, Metal Halide, Sodium, Halogen. Polycarbonate and PTFE are used to encapsulate fluorescent tubes and lamps of any size or wattage.
The shattershield polycarbonate is secured around the tube using 2 "end-caps" that allow the pins of the tube to extrude the caps and be placed into a fitting. If during maintenance or whilst the tube is in operation it falls and breaks whilst protected by the Shat-r-shield polycarbonate protector all the glass and toxic substances inside the fluorescent lamps will be contained thus ensuring no contamination of the surrounding area.
Available in T2, T5, T8 and T12 of any length or wattage.
