Lampguard Incandescent LampsWe can protect the following ranges of light bulbs, 40, 60, 100, 150, 200, 300, 500 watt lamps in most sizes, caps and wattages together with spot lamps at 60 watts, long-life lamps at 16,000 hours 60 watts in most caps, candle lamps at 60 watts, golf ball or round lamps to 40 watts.

The “Lampguard” protection on Mercury, High and Low Pressure Sodium lamps offer a unique protection against Widespread glass contamination and personal injury, safeguarding product and personnel at all times. Most lamp breakages typically occur while being replaced and unprotected lamps taken on and off site. Food Standards apply to these products. A simple mishandling accident can result in an explosion scattering glass.

Many types of fluorescent tubes are able to be coated in our Lampguard material, this will prevent the contamination of food if fluorecent tubes break over food prepearation areas, prevent injury at work if fluorescent tubes break over factory workers / office workers or in fact anywhere that there is a fluorescent tube there is a chance it could break and injure someone. The tubes themselves ranging from: Standard Fluorescent Tubes, Compact Fluorescent tubes, Circleline Fluorescent Tubes, etc.

Lampguard Floodlight Lenses
We offer a high temperature Teflon Coating called Lampguard, which is bounded to the outer or inner surface of the glass and conforms to the Food Regulations impact test IK7. An operating outer galss surface temperature of 360 Deg Centigrade with minimal light loss and in the event of breakage glass is contained behind the membrane avoiding glass in food contamination.
